Type of MP3 DVD Players
As part of planning a family vacation for the summer with two young children, we determined acquiring Mp3 DVD Players would be important. We'd be in the car for a long time straight so the kids were going to want some type of entertainment. I was quite surprised at what I found. Here are a few alternatives you might want to consider.
The Portable Model
I discovered that one of the most highly rated Mp3 DVD players listed on Amazon was a portable player. This looked like an MP3 player but also played DVDs that was quite wonderful. The screen was slightly small for movie viewing.
It was only 7 inches. An excellent feature is that anti-skip technology is integrated so the listening or viewing won't be interrupted by bumps in the road. You can also hook the products into another devices, like other TV so you can have a DVD player everywhere you want.
The Coby version sold via Amazon just cost $90 that was extremely cheap, in my opinion.
The In-Dash Model
One of the units we considered was by Pyle, a famous name in audio systems, and could be installed in the dash or under the seat. That flexibility was nice because we weren't sure we wanted to replace our built-in audio system.
The fact that it incorporated a remote control was also an excellent touch since the children would be in the backseat and could apply the remote control to change the songs or skip ahead in the DVD with no having to interrupt whoever was driving. It was priced for under $75. Certainly, installation and the monitor will be separate.
Laptop Style Portable
While we did observe the MP3-style MP3 DVD players, we also required to consider the more conventional portable MP3 DVD players which look like smaller laptops. These are extremely accepted with other lines and are more adaptable than the in-dash types because the children are able to apply them in the hotel room, as well.
The screen was still only about 7 inches but it did have other features we loved, such as the battery options. These MP3 DVD players normally ran on batteries but also came with an adapter so it could be used indoors without draining the batteries. Plus, in the car, it could be attached to the cigarette lighter outlet and powered by the car itself.
